What about if the salon only used organic' "healthy" versions of all of the products used? IS the reason people don't like to take their kids (4 and up) to the nail salon because of the fumes, or because they don't think its appropriate for that age?
another question: What if it was a mommy and me date..mommy gets nails painted, while kids gets a manicure (not painted, just clean nails and moisturize hands,) would that be reasonable?

It's not appropriate to take a 4 year old to a nail salon. Wait until she's at least 12. At 4 she has no reason to have painted nails and a manicure.
