Default I'd like 2 start a homebase online bus.selling products 2 nail salons.

What legal papers do I need to prepare? I need step by step information on how to start a homebase online business. The product I am selling is patent and made in USA. I will be operating the business by myself and selling the product online or customer will have the option to order via 1-888 #. Also I have to do a demo to introduce the product to a group of client. This demo could be done at my house or to a rented space. However, I need to hire someone to help me with the demo. Please give me info step by step on what paper work is involve in a homebase online business. Do I need a LLC in this kind of business to protect my personal assets? By the way business will be in Tracy California and I would like to start soon
Thank you

It pretty much depends on the requirements within your locality. You need to contact first your local County Clerk's office and find out any legal documents required to begin the type of online business you plan to do. You should also check out the IRS website to see the steps you need to get a tax id number and on the process of declaring and paying your taxes from the sales. Hope this helps.

Go to http://www.score.org/mentors and enter your zip code. On the next screen, you will get information on the nearest SCORE chapter. Call them and arrange for a free meeting with a volunteer SCORE counselor. They will guide you through the process.

SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide and is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

SCORE has 350 chapters in locations throughout the United States and its territories, with 13,000 volunteers nationwide. Both working and retired executives and business owners donate time and expertise as business mentors.
