Depends on the space and current floor plan.

Is the place ready to be equipped or do you need to have any interior wall sections built? Does an electrician need to install new outlets?

Be ready to pay first months rent and a lease deposit which is usually equivalent to 1 months rent. Some landlords want several months worth of rent as a deposit, some will give you a month or 2 free.. It all depends on the space and the landlord.

If the lease-type isn't full service(NNN) you may be required to put up commercial utility and gas deposits. If it IS an NNN lease then all uilities, gas, etc is included in the lease amount. You just pay for supplies, phone, employee comp..

Opening could cost from a couple grand if you find a furnished salon for lease all the way to $20,000+ if you have to build the place out.
