Default Can Nail Polish/Enamel and Nail Art be applied to Acrylic Nails?

I have just gotten a set of 'natural' look acrylic nails (the type where a nail tip is applied then acrylic sculpted over the top) . I want to paint them, and add nail art/designs like I usually would with my natural nails. Is it ok to do that to acrylics? Or will it ruin them?

Yes, you can paint them. But to prevent staining to the enhancment; you should find a basecoat that is designed to work over enhancments. OPI has a good one. And make sure that when you remove the polish to change the design, you use a non-acetone polish remover so that you do not weaken your enhancments.
