Hi my name is Carrie; I've been a Nail Tech for over 14 years. I've been very blessed with a successful business. I've owned my own Salon; Won two awards in Nail Art; I was a guest in 2003 on Northwest Afternoon on ABC in Seattle for my Nail Art and have been able to raise my two boys as a single mother on my income.
In 2008 after months of complaining of neck and shoulder pain I found out I had a fracture in my neck; required a spinal fusion and was told I needed to find a new profession. After taking a year and a half off; I designed a new Mancuring Table that is now Patent Pending and was able to return to work. I've been using my table for almost a year and received rave reviews. Not only has it made it possible for me to work; my clients find it far more comfortable then the traditional table. I've received reviews from Surgeons and General Practice physicians who feel this table will decrease if not completely eliminate the Neck and Back issues associated with our Profession.
I'm proud and excited to get started and will be revealing my table at the Las Vegas Show in June! Look for me "M2 Salon Designs". I've started a Thread in "Nail Business" asking everyone to let me know what (if any) physical problems they've experienced from working as a Nail Tech. I'm currently working a Pedicure Chair/Spa design too.... I'm passionate about this profession. My Mother was a Hair Stylist; I've been in a Salon most of my life and look forward to bringing my innovation together with my passion and hopefully helping my fellow Nail Techs!
I plan to share more information in the weeks to come and would love to discuss this profession more with anyone interested!
Happy Nail Teching
