Thumbs down Best way to take off gels

Ive only just started using gels and i am finding it very difficult to take them off.

I have soaked them in acetone, done the wrap them up in foil method and ive only been able to take some off.

They are stuck like mission impossible! and its worrying me because i cant offer gel removal to my clients and i never want to use them on my own nails again!!

Does anyone know any other method??

Thanks

If you are using traditional hard gels--THEY DO NOT SOAK OFF IN ANY SOLVENT!!! They MUST be filed/buffed off by a trained professional to prevent damage to the natural nail.
If you are using "soft" or soak off gels (which it should say right on the label), then soaking off in 100% acetone is recommended by first buffing the shine off of the entire nail first then using the wrap method to soak off. It should take no more then 20 minutes depending on the type of SOG you are using.
This is one more reason that a proper education, certification and licensing is required to legally nail in the US. No box, kit or youtube video is going to give you all the information you need to apply a good-looking, long-lasting, safe set of enhancments. There is nothing on those things about nail structure, product chemistry, ratio, exothermic reactions, application, proper nat nail prep or the myriad of other things that a trained professional knows like second nature to make it look easy!

Claudia, Working in Sally Beauty Supply, I have found many people get discouraged because they assume gels soak off. Now that they have invented shallac and the shallac soak off wraps it makes it even harder to tell people they do not soak of. You could soak for about 9 hours and get 1 or two layers off.. but not the full gel.

The gel polish removes (ie, axxxiumm shallac or gelish) is a faster solvent. but you still have to file.
