Default GEL NAILS come right off

I tried doing my own gel nail at home. However, after an hour my gel nail started lifting on the side and started to peeling right off. is there something i did wrong?

when i did my gel nail i made sure i didn't touch the side of my nails because i was scared it was going to lift. do you think i didn't cure enough time?

It could be one of any number of things. Especially given that you don't know what you are doing. Your prep could have been incomplete, your application could have been off, your lamp could be the incorrect light intensity, your bulbs could be old, you could be using the incorrect curing time. Just many things! This is the reason an education, license and certification is required to legally "nail" in the US. No box, kit or youtube video supplies all of the necessary info required to apply a safe, good-looking, long-lasting set of enhancments.
