I work in a pool. I have acrylic tips. My natural nail was still glued to the fake one and it is hanging by the cuticle. I called my doctors office and they said wouldn't handle it. I want to heal. Is there anything I can do? If possible, I would like to keep the tip and nail. please. It didn't bleed; it hurts really bad.
I'd dump the fake nails. They are somewhat out of style, and short nails are the way to go. Keep them trimmed and polished and they will look great. I did the acrylic nails before and got a fungus infection under one of them. Once I got those suckers off I decided NEVER again. It ripped the upper layer of my natural nail off, and NOTHING is worth that!!! I prefer the short, clean, buffed look myself. Besides they are WAY easier to deal with everyday. No pain involved!
I would go to the hospital right away and if you don’t the nail will grow back infected. They will put you in a finger cast. They will also give you pain killers to make you not feel the pain anymore. The pain is unbearable to most you are very brave.
If it hurts that it is not the thing what you really need. If a doctor won't help you you can ask a technician what to do, how to get it down, how can you keep it, what would be the best option in this case. Probably the technician can help you to find out what to do, and how can you have nice nails after all without any pain.
