Hi!
Just had some new acrylics fitted yesterday and the nail tech was a little overgenerous on the glue front with the result that the skin on my fingertips is now stuck to my nails in several places.
Has anyone got any suggestions on how to get rid of the glue as it's actually quite painful!
I thought of using acetone but as they are acrylics am worried that this wouldn't be such a good idea...
You need to go back to that tech, show them what they have done and have them use a UNC bit on their efile to remove that glue--for free. They should have cleaned that all up before they finished those enhancments.

Thanks Claudia!
What is an 'UNC bit on their efile'?
Nail tech said that easing skin regularly would eventually get rid of the glue.. Guess I won't be going back there again! Can I do this myself?
Quite tempted to go back to my original salon and get them to soak off and reapply.

Aha, UNC=under nail cleaner!! Fingertips are way too sore for efile... Will see how they are tomorrow and if no better go somewhere else to get soaked off and go back to natural nails. Would be a shame as really loved my original acrylics.
Well, start using some cuticle oil a couple times a day. Just a couple drops on top of and underneath each nail and rubbed in thoroughly followed by good dye/fragrance free moisturizer. That might loosen it from your skin. It should also help get you over the soreness. You could go to a different salon and see if someone could clean them up. Especially if you want to use this as an opportunity to "interview" a new tech.
