Default White acrylic sculptured ends coming off?

I used nail forms and made French nails for the first time two days ago, and just now, one of the white ends came right off clean. I'm not sure what I did wrong. I did notice that the white acrylic seemed a bit "dry". The texture is so different from the pink, I'm not sure I used the right liquid to powder ratio.

My natural nails are short and only the white acrylic came off. I didn't hit my nails or shatter them on anything. Actually, I was cleaning under the nail.

I like to do my P&W's in three thin layers for strength and durability. I like to lay down a thin layer of clear for the entire nail (plate and tip) then lay down the pink nail plate area, then the white tip, then cap the entire thing in another thin layer of clear. This allows you to have a very thin layer of white; which will allow you a lot less work when you carve out the smile line at fill time. It will also allow you to have the added strength of the two clear layers over the entire nail.

Great ideas! I completely forgot about the first clear layer. You had told me this once before. I'll do them again--thank you!
