I'm going to buy the nailene acrylic sculpture kit, which comes with natural nail tips. I like the look of colored tips, but I don't have glitter/colored acrylic powder. Can I just paint the tips with nail polish after gluing them on, and then put the clear acrylic powder over it?
i guess you can but i wouldnt recomend it.. it wont show as well. and when you sand down most likely it will scrape the paint off.. get some french tips shapers i bought mine they where stick ons from ebay
I wouldn't paint them before the acrylic because it will make the acrylic lift faster(Tried it, and it lifted within hours). What you can try is buy some small glitter, Mix it in with some of the clear or pink, or natural, whichever you have, and apply it to the tip. Then do the rest of the nail with just the plain old clear acrylic.

No, but you can paint them after you have put the acrylic on. The acrylic needs a rough surface to grab onto, that's why you see most nail artists filing and buffing the nails before any acrylic is placed. Hope that helped!
